This movie started the Idea of movies with THX logo. Many think this has to do with a sound format or something. It just happen that Mr. Lucas was trying to make movies to be played everywhere with the same quality and created a standard for theaters, later VHS, DVD, etc call THX.

Because there were so many great reviews for this movie, I decided to go out and rent this film and watch it. I was bored to death watching this film, and whats with the words “what’s wrong” kept being said over and over again every time someone opened the medicine cabinet in a computer generated voice? Those words and that voice really annoyed me! Why does this place have not one person with hair? Now, I’m not trying to be raciest here, but what’s with a black girl and guy dancing totally nude on t.v., well I can only say that the girl was totally nude since they only showed the guys chest and up. What’s with that guy who kept stalking one guy by saying that he wanted to be his new roomate? Was he supposed to be gay? I guess this film is way to so called “artsy” for me. What I know is that this film is boring, and when it comes to ending, you don’t know what happends to the guy at the end. The film just kind of fades out after he stands on top of that cone stairway. This film makes the movie The Village exciting to watch. I wish that I could give my money back!

You know, I can’t stand the fact that this movie was directed by George Lucas. Practically the whole movie is boring, even the ending isn’t a whole lot good. The girl should have had some hair, and not saggy breats. Movie stars are suppost to look good. There was one funny part though. Robert Duvall trys fighting with a robot, when his jimmy’s hanging out. That would be so stupid that it’s funny.
That’s all I can say about THX-1138. That’s about all that happened.

Just rented this movie and didn’t like the movie. The film quality and sound is simply too poor. You can’t understand what the people are saying when they do speak. There is so little speaking in the first place that it is difficult to tell what is going on. Its a movie you’d have to watch again and again to understand what is going on. Probably be best to read the script while you watch the movie. Truth is, if this movie was not directed by George Lucas than no one would watch it. Its not that original. Just a rip off of the themes from 1984 and Brave New World. You’re better off buying those books and reading them then wasting your time with this piece of trash.
